Richard Baudoin Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Champagne Baudoin; sons, Gerard Baudoin and wife, Darilyn, Chris Baudoin and wife, Briane, and Gavin Baudoin; daughters, Ann Verdun and husband, Garret, Danette Dominique and husband, Felix, Denise Dinicola and husband, Greg, Mary Chiasson and companion, Scott Breaux, and Elizabeth Baudoin; brothers, Andrew, Ray, and Randy Baudoin; sisters, Marlene Calahan and Paula Breaux; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mary Jane Robichaux Baudoin; and one grandchild.
Richard was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

What a good man and what a terrible loss. Richard was loved by all of us for sure. I remember meeting him when he was probably about 17 or so and attended his wedding to my cousin Dianne. Just a wonderful and gracious guy you loved being around. He was so kind to my mom and dad and they just loved spending time with him, and Diane and, of course, their kids and their kids' kids. But oh how my mom loved those Baudoin girls. Just a terrible loss for us but what joy up above in Heaven and no one is truly gone who remains in our hearts. Our lives are so much more enriched having crossed paths with the likes of Richard and, for that matter, so many of you too. God bless.

Richard,it's so hard to write between the tears. But I want you to know you will always be remembered for the special man you were. To my beautiful cousin Diane,and the Boudoin children and families. Hold your heads up high and continue to be as proud of yourselves as you know he was of you. His love for you all can never be forgotten. Richard, I love and will miss you greatly.

Dad you were and will always be my hero in life. You raised all of your children to be loving and caring and hardworking. I love you so much and I will miss you tremendously. To Diane, children & Baudoin family, we will always remember Richard as a warm and friendly friend. Many years ago while in the middle of putting new floors in our house, Diane's dad took sick and died. With our consent, he stopped the job to be with Diane and her mother. He was that kind if caring and loving person. Although he is no longer with you physically, he will always be with you and taking care of you spiritually. May he rest in peace!
