Carla Breaux Obituary

Carla Dupré Breaux, 48, of Lake Charles, LA was called home by the Lord on Monday, June 20, 2016 in a Texas hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Carla was born on December 15, 1967 in Raceland, LA to Henry and Katherine Dupré. She was a 1985 graduate of Central LaFourche High School. Carla spent seven years working for Oceans Health Care before she moved on to Imperial Calcasieu Surgical Center for about one year. She loved passing the time outdoors with family and friends, enjoyed vacations to the mountains, and liked going out to the movie theatre. Carla also enjoyed reading, plants, flowers, and animals. She was a supportive dance mom and an incredible mother. She took great pride in her children and her love for them was unbreakable. Carla had unwavering faith in the Lord and was always thankful for the simple things in life.

Left to cherish Carla's memory is her husband of 29 years, Craig Breaux of Westlake, LA; two children, Ryan Breaux and Kelly Breaux both of Westlake, LA; her mother, Katherine "Kitty" Thibodeaux Dupré of Lockport, LA; brother, Carl "Squeaky" Dupré and his wife Kristi of Bayou Gauche, LA; nephew, Mason; and nieces Raegan and Paisley.

She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Joseph Dupré.

I remember one of the first times I ever spent the night at your house, matter of fact it's one of my oldest memories, Ryan and I stayed up all night playing video games and I remember you gave us Little Debbie's Honey Buns. To this day I think of you and your family ever time I eat one. You and Craig raised some beautiful, caring kids, one of which I befriended and have remained friends with for 20+ years even though we barely see each other. You'll be dearly missed, rest in peace.

Rest in peace Mrs. Carla. I can remember the times when you had to do things for us for our Hawaiian luau party/or just things that the PTA did for us at our time at St. John. May God strengthen the Breaux family.
