Adam "Tot Tae" Lassere, 63, a native of Vacherie and resident of Chackbay passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army and a retiree with River Parish Maintenance after 11 years of service.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. at the church cemetery.
He is survived by his companion, Doris Thibodaux; children, Heather Lassere Dempster (Gregory), Carmen Lassere Chauvin (Jamie), Jennifer and Janet Lassere; brother, Eugene Lassere; sisters, Lorraine (Roy) Kraemer, Loretta Chenier, Ella Chenier, Therese (Elves) Mars and Gilda Morvant; grandchildren, Hollie Lassere, Justin Chauvin, Dalton Dempster, Kaitlyn Lassere, Alexis Dempster, Beth Hall, Collin Chauvin, Cole Lassere and Mia Lassere.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oneil and Marie Oubre Lassere; brother, Joseph "Neal" Lassere; and brothers-in-law, James Chenier, Fred Chenier and Cameron Morvant.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed camping with his family. He was a member of Bayou Pirogue Hunting Club.
