Edwin P. Breaud, 86, a native of Vacherie and longtime resident of St. Louis, Missouri, and more recently a resident of Thibodaux, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie. A Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Hilda Babin Breaud, of Vacherie; sister and brother-in-law, Rosa and Lloyd Waguespack, of Houston, Texas; brother, Alfred A. Breaud Jr., of Highland Village, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred A. Breaud Sr. and Elodie Abadie Breaud; wife, Ruth Struck Breaud; brother, Roy A. Breaud Sr.; and sister, Claire Breaud Schexnayder.
Edwin was born May 2, 1928, in Vacherie, and moved to St. Louis in the late 1950's. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and was a salesman for many years. Edwin enjoyed wood working and was very skilled with his hands.
