Hilda Leonard Kreamer,71, a native of Houma and resident of Marrero, died Sunday, July 28, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Mothe Funeral Home in Marrero, and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marrero. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of Erole A. Kreamer Sr. for 71 years; loving mother of Barbara A. (the late Ronald) Brouillette, Gail C. Champagne, Connie M. (Nelson) Chaisson, Deborah Richoux (Frank and the late Jimmy Richoux) Genusa, Erole A. (Vicki) Kreamer Jr. , Keith J. Kreamer, Brett J. (Phyllis) Kreamer, and the late Shannon M. (Harris) Champagne; sister of Esther Landry, the late Mildred Bouquet, Florance Rogers, Alvin, Henry and John Leonard; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandsons; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Scott Brouillette and Torry Richoux; and her parents, Flossie Blanchard Leonard and John Leonard.
She was a member of the VFW Post No. 7307 Ladies Auxiliary and the Southern Pioneers Camping Club. She loved to travel, especially to Mexico, as well as to most states and Canada. To help quench her thirst for travel, she visited several European countries on four different occasions, for months at a time. She enjoyed fishing while her loving husband sang to her in French.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Egan Hospice, especially Charlotte Dubois, Lou Howard, and Courtney and Deacon Butch.
