Jane Bevill Talbot, 75, of Lenexa, Kan., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at the Sharon Lane Nursing and Rehab Center in Shawnee, Kan.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kan. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Harvest Ridge Covenant Church at 22015 Midland Drive in Shawnee, Kan., with burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin P. Talbot; daughter, Elizabeth Elaine Preston, of Shawnee, Kan.; sons, Stephen John Talbot, of Overland Park, Kan., and William Paul Talbot, of Austin, Texas; brother, James D. Bevill, of Ashville, N.C.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Jane was born Sept. 29, 1938, in Gladewater, Texas, to Clyde W. and Gladys Bevill. She attended Our Lady of Holy Cross College and earned her MSW from Tulane University in 1988. She was a social worker and case manager for the Volunteers of America in New Orleans. Jane was a member of Harvest Ridge Covenant Church in Shawnee, Kan.
