Ruby H Sevin, 70, a native and resident of Chauvin, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Sevin; daughters, Rebecca Meier, Sabrina Sevin and companion, Gentry Blanchard, Regina Authement and husband, Hubert, and Catina Berry and husband, Tom; brothers, Magnus, Johnny, Lindsey, Marvin and Eldren Henry; sisters, Lois Foret, Judy Rodrigue, Joyce Thibodeaux, Elaine Foret and Diane Rodrigue; grandchildren, Rickey Dupre, Torie Authement, Shelby Meier, Russell Meier III, Megan Meier, Misty Dupre, Brina Dupre, Preston Authement and Mikayla Kaufman; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Makinley and Navaeh Authement and Ethan and Hayden Harding.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis F. Sevin; parents, Magnus and Inez Henry; sister, Inez Seargent; grandsons, Derrick and Zane Williams; and great-grandson, Aiden Meier.
She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church, member of the T-Caillou Lions Club and a retired school teacher.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
