Alvis M. "Al" Washington, 57, a native of Waverly and resident of Thibodaux, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Beacon Light Church in Gray. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Southern Memorial Gardens in Baton Rouge.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Fisher Washington, of Thibodaux; sons, Alvis Washington Jr., of New York, and Willie "C.J." (Saminthia) Washington, of The Woodlands, Texas; brothers, Thomas Arthur (Lula) Washington, of Houston, Texas, Jimmy Earl (Janett) Washington, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jo Willie (Yvonne) Washington, of San Antonio, Texas, John R. Washington, of Liberty Township, Ohio, Kelvin Wayne Washington, of Fairfield, Ohio, and Delbert Washington, of Shreveport; and sisters, Glenda Faye Washington and Florence Jones, of Dallas, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Washington; and sister, Ruby Hill.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
