Beatrice Mary Samanie, 80, a native and resident of Houma, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Samanie; one son, Tony Samanie and wife, Becky of Houma; two daughters, Gwynn Bourg and husband, Nathan of Houma and Lynn Boudreaux and husband, Junius of Thibodaux; one brother, Wiltz Duplantis of Thibodaux; three sisters, Irene Cortez and husband, M.J., Lois Hebert and Beverly Marcel and husband, Junius, all of Houma; six grandchildren, Keith Bourg, Corey Boudreaux, Tara Jones, Marci Boudreaux, Todd Boudreaux and Tori Samanie; and five great-grandchildren, Erica Bourg, Ethan Boudreaux, Nicholas Bourg, Andrew Bourg and Taylor Boudreaux.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Wiltz and Corinne Babin Duplantis; one brother, Iry Duplantis; one sister-in-law, Dot Duplantis; and one brother-in-law, Eris Hebert.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
