Bobbie Thibodeaux Luke, 76, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017. She was a native of Chauvin and resident of Bourg, LA.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, from 9 a.m. until service time at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 7 at 12 noon, with burial to follow in St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin, LA.
She is survived by her daughter, Caffie Pellegrin and late husband, Ricky; brothers, Lloyd Thibodeaux and wife, Maureen, and Noble Thibodeaux and wife, Pat; sister, Ara Thibodeaux Charpentier and husband, Steven; grandchildren, Lani Pellegrin and companion, Doug Walling, and Joshua Pellegrin and wife, Robin, and Taylor Pellegrin; and great-grandchildren, Jayce, Josie, Kaydience, Shawn, Madison, Makinley, Hailey, Landyn, and Ainsleigh Pellegrin.
She is preceded by her husband, Howard Luke; parents, Edward Thibodeaux and Hilda Price Thibodeaux; brother, Mervil Thibodeaux; and sister, Josie Thibodeaux Davis.
Bobbie loved to paint and was a talented artist. She was famous for her paintings depicting the Cajun Culture.
She also was an avid reader.
The family request donations to be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/donate.
Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Luke family.
