Clinton Joseph Theriot, 74, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Chauvin, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Stoufflet Theriot of Chauvin; sons, Burt Theriot and wife, Gwen, of Galliano, and Dewey Theriot and wife, Shonna, of Houma; daughter, Christina Theriot Gavin and husband, Thomas, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Veronica Vail, Ty Theriot, Alesha Theriot, Presley Theriot and Jayden Trosclair; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Erin and Sophia Vail; and brother, Livingston Theriot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leopold and Emmeline Theriot; and sister, Florence Theriot Long.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Texaco for 25 years. He enjoyed making castnets, minnow cages and items out of matchsticks. He also enjoyed going to the casino.
