Cord "Pye" James Adams Jr., a life long resident of Chauvin, went on to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2012.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Katina Marie LeCompte Adams; daughters, Kirrah Maekelle Adams, Kinadee Julianne Adams, and Koryn Cherie' Adams of Chauvin; father, Cord Adams Sr. and companion, Sheila Landry; stepfather, Ronnie Judy; son-in-law of U.S. Vietnam Veteran Daniel LeCompte, and Peggy Foret Haydel and husband, Gregory; brother, Jade Adams; sisters, Casey Adams and companion, Keith Huntsberry, Crissy Raigan and husband, Matt, Candace Adams and companion, Webly Bourgeois, Courtney Adams and Destiny Adams; brothers-in-law, D.J. LeCompte and Cody LeCompte; grandson of Alcide and Julia Adams, and Donnie Moreau; godson of Michael and Suzette Adams; godfather of Cole Pennison, Ethan Hunt, Craig Duplantis Jr, Owen Landry and Abbie LeCompte; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Brown Judy; and grandmother, Elaine Moreau.
He was a member of Vision Christian Center and employed by LeBoeuf Brothers Towing.
He loved being with his wife and baby girls and enjoyed spending time with family and friends he loved so dearly. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and being there for those who needed him just to make them smile. He will be greatly missed.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
