Helen Waguespack, 82, a native of Chauvin, and a resident of Houma, died on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma . A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Blaise Waguespack; sons, Clarence Bourg, Blaise Waguespack Jr. and wife, Carla; daughter, Tina Stroman and husband, Jim; a brother, Ray Pierron; a sister, Cecile Prejean; also five grandchildren, Jesse Brunet and fiancee, Brandi Kelley, Kristina Stroman, and Jim Stroman Jr., Grace Waguespack, and Annika Waguespack; and one great-grandchild, Lilly Evangeline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Marguerite Chauvin Pierron; a son, Stephen Waguespack; and brothers, Wilber, Roy, Richard and Frank Pierron.
Helen loved playing bridge, fishing and square dancing. She was also the Queen Mother of the Cajun PePa's Red Hat Club.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
