Jack Wayne Spurlock passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holmesville Baptist Church, with burial in Mt. Nebo Methodist Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Anne Crochet Spurlock of Larose; one son, Mike Spurlock of Waco, Texas; two daughters, Stacy Harberson and husband, Ed, of Luling, and Tracy Robert and husband, Guy, of Larose; two sisters, Margaret Diebold of Downsville, and Judy Jasper and husband, Buddy, also of Downsville; six grandsons, Jon Michael and Marty Spurlock, Aramie and Austin Melancon, and Matthew and Ethan Robert; two granddaughters, Taylor Melancon and Mikeala Spurlock; one great-grandson, Henry Michael Spurlock; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Aramie and Austin Melancon, Ed Harberson, Guy and Matt Robert and Jon Spurlock.
He was born in Downsville on Jan. 31, 1935 to Guy R. and Eva Foster Spurlock. Maternal grandparents were George P. and Epsy V. Simpson Foster of Downsville. Paternal grandparents were John W. and Martha Grace Jones Spurlock, of Downsville.
Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield is in charge of arrangements.
