Jessie Mae Sherman Daggs, 97, a native of Dorseyville and resident of Napoleonville, died Thursday, July 18, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Daggs, of New Orleans, Patricia D. James, of Houston, Texas, and Cynthia D. (Daniel) Carter, of Napoleonville; sons, Matthew (Ernestine) Daggs and Rudy Daggs, of Napoleonville; sisters, Emelda (Edward) Parker, of Napoleonville, Annie B. Heims, of Dorseyville, and Ruth Johnson, of Plattenville; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Daggs; son, Charles Daggs; sister, Irma Buggage; and brothers, Lawrence, the Rev. Phillip, Sullivan and Leo Sherman.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
