John Martinolich

John J. Martinolich ,93, a native and resident of Thibodaux; passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 8 a.m. till funeral time. Religious service will commence at 11 a.m. at Thibodaux Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mabel K. Martinolich; sons, Derril Martinolich and wife Jo-Ann, James Martinolich and wife Carolyn, Ray Martinolich and wife Julie; grandchildren, Derril A. Martinolich, Robin M. Jeanfreau, Hans Martinolich, Catina Lowery, Jared Martinolich, Amy Bourgeois, Jason Martinolich, Katie Kramer, Becky Ordoyne, Karen Dyer; 16 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dominick Martinolich and Mary "Josephine" Parr Martinolich; brothers, Nick Martinolich, Octave Martinolich, Joseph Martinolich, Andrew Martinolich.

In his early years he loved to fish and hunt with his three sons. He was a kind loving father and grandfather who was dearly loved.

He was a Veteran of World War II.

The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. James Leonard, Dr. James Schweitzer, Dr. Gregory Chiasson and the entire staff at Lafourche Home For The Aged.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
