Jori Lirette Obituary
Jori Kyler Joseph Lirette, 7, was born April 8, 2004 and died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
He is survived by his mother, Jesslyn Kylene Lirette; his grandparents, Delene and Barry Himel of Thibodaux, and Dale Lirette Sr. and Rebecca Lirette of Gibson; his great-grandparents, Ashley and Deanna Lirette of Chauvin, Emelda and Robert Cadierre of Bourg, and Junius and Debbie Himel of Thibodaux; his mother's siblings, Dale Lirette Jr. of Gibson, Matthew and Angela Lirette of Chauvin, Brittany Lirette and fiancee, Kelly Bebee of Thibodaux, Nicole Lirette and fiance, Michael Stein of Bayou Black, Courtney and Joshua LeBlanc of Houma, and Joshua Lirette of Gibson; and cousins, Olivia and Mattie Lirette of Chauvin, and Colt Lirette of Bayou Black.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Lloyd and Dolores Poche' of Thibodaux.
There will be a candlelight vigil from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 in Peltier Park.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

To my baby boy, it has been 6months now you were ripped from my life and it will never be the same again. It is so lonely without you here. I can only go through the motionso of soon kind o living without you here. We visit your gravesite often,we bring flowers and stuffed.animals, but we cant bring you back. I sit and talk to you there and at home everyday and night. I miss you like crazy. There are so many beautiful pictures of you, in this home, you fill the shelves and walls..bug the one place that empty is my heart there is the biggest hole that will never be filled again. It helps that I see beautiful yellow butterflies sent by you everyday.I am sorry heart broken. Love you always and forever maw maw.

because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
