Lester Louis Andrews Sr., 84, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Lester Louis (Lea) Andrews Jr. and Howard Leon (Kathleen) Andrews; daughters, Patricia A. (Joey) Mouton and Stephanie A. (Brent) Melancon; brother, Edward Andrews; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Pitfield Andrews; second wife, Elsie T. Andrews; son, Frank Patrick Andrews; parents, Alcess and Madeline Navarre Andrews; brothers, O'Neil and Walter Andrews; and sisters, Rita Reno, Elvira Callagan, Clara Davis, Edna Hoolahan, Dorothy Emma Cordes, and Annie Ruth Andrews.
He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran.
