Lilly Belle Navarre Arcement, 97, a native of Paincourtville and resident of Napoleonville, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Beverly Arcement, Daniel Arcement and friend, Julie Acosta, and Richard Arcement and wife, Susan; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Arcement; grandchildren, Monique Pere' and husband, John, Andre Arcement and wife, Tammie, Lisa Wigger and husband, Robert, and Angelle Arcement; great-grandchildren, Mathew Pere' and wife, Katie, Elise Pere', Jude Pere', Ashley Arcement, Aaron Arcement, Cole Wigger, and Cali Belle Wigger; and great-great-grandchildren, Michael Pere' and Madelyn Pere'.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clema J. "T.B." Arcement; parents, Leon and Lorina Boudreaux Navarre; son, Ashley Arcement; daughter-in-law, Judy C. Arcement; brothers, Louis, Ridley, and Russell Navarre; and sisters, Yolande Mire, Odessa Picou, Heloise Navarre, and Virgie Lee Naquin.
Lilly Belle was known to her family and friends as "Maw-Belle." Born in 1916, she was surrounded by seven siblings. In 1938, she married T.B. Arcement and raised her family of four children on Oakley Plantation where she and her husband farmed sugar cane. Lilly greeted everyone with a smile and had a loving heart. She was a member of the St. Philomena Church Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.
The family wishes to thank all her caregivers, especially, Carol Ann Delcambre, Dr. Charles Bolotte, Dr. Mark McInnis, the E.R. physician and his nurses for the compassionate care given to their mother and her family.
