May Moore Duplantis, 92, a native and resident of Houma, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at 6:05 p.m.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Burial will follow in the Terrebonne Memorial Park
She is survived by her sons, Wayne J. Duplantis, Sr. and wife Gloria, Sugarland, Texas, Douglas J. Duplantis and wife Deborah, Corona, CA; daughter, Mary Margaret Duplantis, Houma, La.; grandchildren, Wayne Duplantis, Jr., Andrew Duplantis, Rebecca Thibodeaux, Douglas Richard, Kristi Duplantis, David Duplantis, Daniel Duplantis; great-grandchildren, Philip Thibodeaux, Evan Thibodeaux, Lenee Lirette, Makayla Duplantis and Malina Duplantis; great-great-grandchildren, Morgen Thibodeaux and Philip Thibodeaux, Jr.; sister, Beulah Domangue.
She was preceded in death by her, parents, Charles William Moore and Nettie Rebecca Crochet Moore, son, Joseph Gonzalez Duplantis, III; grandchildren, Don Lirette and Brandy Duplantis; brothers, Earl Moore, Yancey Moore, Robert Moore; sisters, Hazel Dupuy, Lillie Robichaux.
She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
She was a mother to all her grandchildren that she helped raise. She was an avid gardener. She will be deeply missed.
