Nolan Adams

Nolan Pierre Adams, 87, a native of Kaplan and longtime resident of Thibodaux and Schriever, died Friday, June 24, 2011 at Audubon Health and Rehab.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by three daughters, Brenda and husband, Floyd Picou, Sandra and husband, Leslie Brunet, and Judith Caillouet; six grandchildren, Gerald and wife, Faith Folse, Liz Folse, Justin Brunet, Kristin and husband, Noah Waguespack, Casie Caillouet and Mitzi and husband, Jay Berthelot; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Waguespack, Cameron and Chloe Romano, and Hannah and Sophia Berthelot; one sister, Leona Vincent of Kaplan; two sisters-in-law, Inez Adams of Orange, Texas and Audrey Adams of Kaplan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Birdie Arceneaux Adams; his parents, Amadee and Rosa Broussard; one son, Gerald Adams; four brothers; and two sisters.

He was retired from Freeport Sulphur Co. He was a World War II veteran and a parishioner of St. Bridget Parish.
