Norman S. Templet, 89, a native of St. Charles Community and resident of Mathews, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018.
Visitation at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Monday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m., with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.
Norman is survived by his son, Troy S. Templet (Mary); grandchildren, Laura T. Pierce (Joey) and Kalie T. Hackworth (Blake); great-grandchild, Sawyer; brother, Alvin; and sisters, Vivian Chauvin and Lorraine Irion.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Dutie Adams Templet; parents, Elvia and Oceana Galliano Templet; brothers, Robert and Jerry Templet; and sister, Norma Hubble.
Norman was a member of the V.F.W., Knights of Columbus and American Legion.
Norman enjoyed working at the family's fruit stand "Adams Fruit Market", meeting new people and he was an avid traveler.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
