Raymond John Arcement, 90, a native of Montegut and resident of Houma, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Arcement of Houma; two sons, Raymond Arcement Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Waldorf, Md. and John Arcement and wife, Terry, of Blytheville Ark.; his grandchildren, Dexter Detiveaux, Wendy Theriot, Michelle Theriot, Brent Arcement, Amanda Arcement, Eric Arcement, Stacy Welchner and Nicole Patterson; and many great-grandchildren who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Arcement; his parents, Abdon and Eloyne Arcement; three brothers, Eddie Arcement, George Arcement Sr. and Eugene Arcement Sr.; and four sisters, Edith Degeneres, Hattie Chauvin, May Matherne and Dorothy Labit.
He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
