Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from 8 to 9:30 a.m. today at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy. in LaPlace. Mass celebrating his life will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve, with burial in the church cemetery.

He was the beloved husband of Deanna Weber Maus for 44 years; adored father of Bill Maus (Kasey) and Tara Loving (Rene); proud "Paw" of Jordan, Logan, and Camryn; loving and expectant grandfather of baby Maus; brother of Marian Loupe (Don); brother-in-law of Merlene St. Pierre (Frank); and many cherished nieces, nephews, friends, and high school classmates.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelda Dupre and Willie S. Maus Sr.; and brother-in-law of Perrin Weber (Catherine), Margaret Catoire Laurent (Calvin Catoire and Kenneth Laurent), Tojo Weber (Beverly), and Glynn Weber (Carolyn).

He was a native and resident of Reserve, and graduate of Leon Godchaux High School and Nicholls State University. He was employed most recently as the Superintendent of St. Peter Cemetery and previously by Isidore Newman High School, Godchaux Henderson Sugar Refinery, and Graugnard Farms.

His most cherished moments were spent with his loving family, who surrounded him with love and laughter throughout his life and in his final days as he lost his battle with cancer.

Millet-Guidry Funeral Home of LaPlace is in charge of arrangements.
