Louella Marie Pellegrin Bourg, 86, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 6 07 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 30 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Nolan Paul Bourg of Chauvin; son, Gaylen Bourg and wife, Joni; daughters, Mary Lee Picou and husband, Conrad Sr., of Chauvin and Lynell Johnson and husband, Ronald, Montgomery; grandchildren, Jordan Picou, Jerome Picou, Nadine Lirette, Conrad Picou Jr., Corey Roddy, Kevin Roddy, Travis Bourg and Talina Picou; and 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two stepbrothers and three stepsisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eustice Joseph Pellegrin and Celestine Lapeyrouse Pellegrin; grandchild, Francis Picou; brothers, Eddie Pellegrin, Aaron Pellegrin and Norman Pellegrin; and sisters, Lethia Bourg, Laura Lee LeCompte and Iona Pellegrin.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the American Legion Auxilliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and pokeno and going to Senior Citizen's Hall in Chauvin.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and devoted catholic.
