Alvin Joseph
Alvin Joseph Sr., 67, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died Thursday, March 29, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Magnolia United Methodist Church, 128 Johnson Ridge in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Blue Lilly Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Joseph; son, Alvin Joseph Jr. and wife, Kimberly; daughters, Jean Claire Carter of Houston and Virginia Griffin and husband, Alvin, of Morgan City; brother, Isiah Joseph and wife, Viola of Thibodaux; sister, Lillian Joseph of Johnson Ridge; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Chester Joseph and Martha Singleton Joseph; brothers, Chester and Melvin Joseph; and sister, Elise J. Rounds.
He was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church and a welder with Avondale Shipyard.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
