Larry Martin
Larry Thaddeus Martin, a native and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Elma Martin of Houma; his wife of 36 years, Louella Martin of Houma; daughters, Tanya Martin Colee and husband, Edward "Ed" Colee Jr., of Luling and Tara Martin Auer and husband, Brian Auer, of Houston; granddaughter. Amber Colee of Luling; brother, Danny P. Martin of Houma; sister, Donna Martin Redmond and husband, Marvin Redmond of Houma; sister-in-law, Cynthia Martin of Houma; nieces, Monica, Jessica, Becky, and Vicky; nephew, Ryan; and great-nephew, Kyle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thaddeus Martin of Houma; and his sister-in-law's husband, Terry Martin of Houma.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was retired from Dow Chemicals.
He was an avid painter, fisherman, and boater. He was a member of the Dularg Library Art Group.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
