Lawrence Chiasson
Lawrence N. Chiasson, 86, a native of Cut Off and resident of Galliano, died at 2:03 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose. Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his sons, Ashley Chiasson and wife, Enna, Chris Chiasson and wife, Debra, and Jody Chiasson and wife, Lillian; daughter, Connie Cannatella and husband, Drew; brother, Nolan Chiasson; sisters, Emma Lois Vedros and Dolores Matherne; and seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilavia T. Chiasson; parents, Wilson and Catherine Chiasson; son, Kim Chiasson; one grandchild and one great-grandchild; and sister, Gertrude Vedros.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
