Rene Guidroz Jr.
Rene Guidroz Jr., 75, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 12:20 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Guidroz; daughters, Rhonda Wheeles, Theresa Shugars, and Shannon Bonvillain and husband, Kenneth; brothers, Dave Guidroz, Melvin Guidroz and Troy Guidroz; sister, Irma Mayet and husband, Henry; three grandchildren, Marcus Wheeles, Gage and Gavin Bonvillain; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar Champagne and Cierra Nettleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rene Guidroz Sr. and Annie Pitre Guidroz; and granddaughter, Stacie Champagne.
He was a Chief Engineer for Nolty J. Theriot and LeBoeuf Bros., a 20 yr. retired Army Sergeant that served in Vietnam, and a past Mason.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to help with funeral expenses.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
