Elton Morvant
Elton "Johnny" Morvant, 88, a native of Labadieville and resident of Kraemer, died Thursday, April 26, 2012.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in Kraemer. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mabel Mahler Morvant; daughter, Debra M. Lassere and husband, Louis; sister, Eunice Morvant Himel; grandchildren, Annekia Lassere Prudhomme and husband, William "Trey" Prudhomme III, Kacy Lassere and Betsy Mahler; and two great-granchildren, William Lassere Prudhomme and Laura Catherine Prudhomme.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Morvant and Louise Diez Morvant; daughter, Fay Ann Morvant; brothers, Milton, Percy, and Leroy Morvant; and sister, Irene Morvant Thibodaux.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid gardener and grass cutter.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
