Shawn'Kell Patterson
Shawn'Kell "Lucy" T. Patterson, 7, a native of Donaldsonville and resident of Gonzales, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Williams and Southall Funeral Home, 101 Loop 945 in Donaldsonville and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Truelight Worship Center, 1012 Orice Roth Rd. in Gonzales. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at First Israel Baptist Cemetery in Belle Rose.
She is survived by her mother, Markell Travis Patterson of Gonzales; father, Shawn Patterson of Napoleonville; four sisters, Shawnell and Jalessa Walker of Donaldsonville, Thommisha Travis and Shawn'khia Patterson of Gonzales; two brothers, Geddrick Travis and Ahquainn Smith of Gonzales; maternal grandmother, Wonderlyon Travis of Donaldsonville; maternal grandfather, Morris and wife, Estelle Dennis of St. James; paternal grandfather, Marks Patterson of Donaldsonville; and maternal great-grandfather, Raymond Paul of Vacherie.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Edith Joseph Patterson; maternal great-grandmother, Patsy Paul; paternal great-grandparents, Margaret and Edgar Dennis.
She was a second grader at George Washington Carver Primary School in Gonzales.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Donaldsonville is in charge of arrangements.
