 Betty Guidry
Betty Cheramie Guidry, 75, a native and resident of Galliano, died Friday, May 11, 2012.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Norman Guidry; children, Brenda Boudoin and husband, Johnny, Bradley Guidry and wife, Patty, Artie Guidry and wife, Brenda, Wade Guidry and wife, Anita, and Leonard Guidry and wife, Sprite; grandchildren, Angela Vizier, Anissa Cheramie and husband, Tommy, Andrea Cheramie and husband, Brent, Daphne Cheramie and husband, Rowdy, Brooke LeBlanc and husband, Davey, Carissa Guidry, Betsy Capeheart and husband, Brian, Marty Guidry, Rusty Guidry, Tyler Guidry, Lenna Guidry and Savanna Guidry; great-grandchildren, Luke Vizier, Alivia Vizier, Jake Cheramie, Lane Cheramie, Alex Cheramie, Kade Leonard, Bryn Leonard, Bree Leonard, Jaci Cheramie, Brody Cheramie, Hayden LeBlanc, Ava Boura, Destin Boura and Khi Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Cheramie and Winnie Dugas Cheramie; brother, Rodney Cheramie; and sister, Gloria C. Vegas.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a dedicated wife and mother who loved cooking, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family. She will be lovingly remembered for all the fantastic meals she prepared for her family.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
