Eldon Frazier

Deacon Eldon Frazier, 75, a native of Grand Isle and resident of Cut Off, died at 1:05 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be held at noon Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Chabert Frazier; son, Mathew Frazier, John Frazier (Beth Cheramie) and Danny Lombas; daughter, Madonna Scurlock; brother, Nolan Frazier (June Guidry); and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Paul Frazier Sr. and Irene Rome Frazier; son, Gregory P. Frazier and Karl J. Frazier; brothers, Eldridge Frazier, Robert Frazier Jr., Louis Loupe, Claude Loupe and Lawrence Loupe; and sisters, Laura Lee Perron, Ella Mae LeBoeuf and Mary Lee Oliver.

He was a Catholic Ordained Deacon in 1999 of Houma/Thibodaux Diocese. He ministered to shut-ins and brought communion. He was involved with Curisslo, Journey Towards Christ, Evangelist Group, Baptised children, did graveside committals and held a focus program (marriage). He was owner and operator of Frazier Towing Co. and also on board of directors of State Bank. He also loved to snow ski.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
