Jules Anthony Pitre Jr.

Jules Anthony Pitre Jr., 66, died at 7:15 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012. He was a native of Houma and a resident of Gibson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11 from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Cherand Clement Pitre, his sons, John R. Pitre Sr. and Jules "Trey" Pitre III; his daughter, Robin M. Hubbard; his grandchildren, Holli Landry, John Pitre Jr., Gabrielle Pitre, Tyler Hubbard, Trent Hubbard, Anecia Lynn Pitre, Alexander Pitre, and Christian Dupre; his sister, Glenna Pitre DeRoche and husband Terry DeRoche Sr.; and his brother, David Pitre and wife Mary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules Pitre Sr. and Edna Duet Pitre; his sister Della Pitre Babin and husband Donald; and his sister Edna Pitre.

He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. He worked for the Department of the Interior's Mineral Management Services for 35 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Louis and a member of the AARP Shrimpers Row, Morgan City. He was a proud member of Hideaway Ponds in Gibson, LA.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
