Richard Joseph Sapia, 65, a native of Houma and a resident of Houma, died Mon., June 18, 2012.

He is survived by, brother's, Carroll Sapia, Jr. and fiancé Hazel , Michael Sapia and wife Mary, Ernest Sapia and wife Alice, Whitney Sapia and wife Barbara, brother, Larry Sapia and wife Charlene, brother, Tommy Sapia and wife Eva, brother, Randall Sapia, sister, Margaret Chatagnier and husband Clarence, sister, Linda Lodrigue and husband Anthony, sister, Anna Trahan and husband Wallace, sister, Martha Sapia and fiance Brett Trahan, sister, Darlene Hotard and husband Tony, godchildren, Patrick Sapia, Shannon Fanguy, Lena LeBouef, Randall Sapia, Jr., Melinda Lovi, and his beloved cat Whiskers, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his companion, Sandy Theriot, father , Carroll Paul Sapia, Sr., mother, Bessie Marie Sapia, sister, Peggy Liner, brother, James Sapia, and his brother, Johnny Sapia.
