Dorothy Stokes
Dorothy Sarchet Stokes, 74, a native of Mt. Carmel, IL and a resident of Gray, died Mon., June 18, 2012.
Visitation will be Wed., June 20, 2012 from 5 pm to 9 pm. at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Visitation will
also be held on Thurs., June 21, 2012at 8 am. at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Religious services will be held at 11 am. at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Burial will be in Bisland Cemetery, Bourg.
She was survived by four son's, Michael Stokes and companion Del North, Kenneth Stokes, Jr. and companion Laura, Alfred Stokes, Sr. and companion Janet, Robert Stokes and companion Melissa, and Jack Stokes, four daughter's, Reba Lirette, Barbara Seidl and husband Paul, Angelina Hanks and husband John, Monica Stokes and companion Rodney Billiot, Donald Sarchet and wife Linda, Robert "Bobby" Sarchet and wife Diane, Jo Wayne Sarchet and wife Christine, and sister, Anna Lou Smith and husband Ernest. 15 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Stokes, Sr., father, Alfred Sarchet, mother, Olive Mae Sarchet, son, Kenneth Wayne Cahoon, and daughter, Louella Susie Matrana.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of Arrangements.
