Donald Mignella, Sr.

Donald Edward Mignella, Sr., 58, a native of Chepachet, RI and a resident of Houma, died Fri., June 22, 2012.

Visitation will be Thurs., June 28, 2012 from 5 pm. to 9 pm. at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. A Religous service will be held on Fri., June 29, 2012 at 11 am at Samart Funeral Home of Houma.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Diane Verdin Mignella, three loving sons, Donald "T-Don" Mignella, Jr. and his girlfriend Brandi Lovell, Antonio L. Mignella and his girlfriend Dana Fields and Eugene J. Mignella, of Houma, two loving daughter's, Donyella M Mignella, and Dana Mignella, of Sherman Oaks, CA, three grandsons, Tristen E. Mignella, Donald E. Mignella III, and Angelo L. Mignella, all of Houma, father, Philip Mignella Jr. of DeLeon Springs, FL, mother, Norma Vota Mignella of Coventry, RI, sister, Cynthia A. Sweet and husband Brian of Coventry, RI, two brothers, Philip Mignella III of San Diego, CA and David A. Mignella and wife Patricia of Chepachet, RI, step brother, Shaun Mignella and wife Jackie of DeLeon, Fl, two step-sisters, Sharlan Henry of West Palm Beach, FL and Kelly Henry of Coventry, RI, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by, his brother, Eugene J. Mignella, grandparents, Edith Vota and Nino Vota, Philip Mignella, Sr. and Anna Mignella.

He will be very sadly missed. He was a very loving caring husband and

father. He was very dedicated to his family. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was the best daddy in the world. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He was an offshore supply boat capt/mate. He was a very hard and dedicated work.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of Arrangements.
