 Edward LaMark, Jr.
Edward J. LaMark, Jr., age 69, a native of New Orleans, and a resident of Houma, La., passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Terrebonne General Hospital in Houma, La., at 8:40 AM., surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be Sat., June 30, 2012 from 10 am. until 10:45 am. at The CWA Hall, 106 Westside Blvd., Houma, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 am.
Edward was born November 12, 1942, the son of the late Edward LaMark, Sr. and Queen Esther Sims LaMark. Also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley LaMark Hill.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 43 years, Helen Green LaMark; three sons, Dorton (Jacinda) Victor of Houma, LA, Edward LaMark, III and Jewel LaMark both of Thibodaux, LA; two daughters, Michelle (Oliver) Kenny, Jr., of Houma, LA, and Regina LaMark of Baytown, TX; a brother, Calvin LaMark of Houston, TX; a stepsister, Hazel H. Anderson of Houma, LA; three stepbrothers, Wilbert Lee, Sr., and August Haughton, Sr., both of Houma, LA, and Claiborne Haughton of Arlington, VA; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Edward was a practicing catholic. He was a retired employee of Delta Oil Company. Edward was a happy and generous person who enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, and card games. He also spent time with others discussing the Bible with them.
