Lanny Joseph Naquin, 56, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Thibodaux, died at 11:10 pm Sun., July 1, 2012.
Mass at 11 am. on Wed., July 4, 2012 at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux.
He is survived by his parents, Clifford Joseph Naquin, Jr. and Miriam LeCompte Naquin, one brother, Lynn Naquin, Sr. and wife Denise, four sisters, Leslie Morgan and husband Floyd, Lorraine Bourgeois and husband Marco, Lisette Washispack and husband Quentin, Lona Bernard and husband Jim, twelve nephews, five nieces, two great-nephews and two great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford "Clay" Joseph Naquin, Sr., Camille Guillot Naquin, Roosevelt George LeCompte and Celeste Bergeron LeCompte, two nephews, Clay Jude Naquin and Joseph Anthony Bourgeois, and one niece, Celeste Mary Bourgeois.
Lanny was a loving son, brother and uncle. He had a heart of gold with a deep, father-like love for all his nieces and nephews. Aside from his family, Lanny's greatest joy was to be on his boat fishing!
Near the end of his life, Lanny expressed his faith in God and his need for a Savior - JESUS. He was Catholic.
