Mary Cecilia Verret Verdin, 89, died Sun., July 1, 2012 at 11:58 pm.
She was a native and resident of Houma.
Visitation will be held on Wed., July 4, 2012 from 5 pm. until 9 pm. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thurs., July 5, 2012 from 9 am. until service time at St. Eloi Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thurs., July 5, 2012 at 11 am. at St. Eloi Catholic Church. Burial at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery
She is survived by her, sons, Ernest Verdin and wife Virginia, Paul J. Verdin, Sr. and companion Mildred Dion, daughter, Cathy Verdin and fiance Joseph Foret, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her,
husband, John Norris Verdin, parents, Joseph and Felicia Billiot Verret, son, John Norris Verdin, Jr., daughter, Mary Alice Parfait, grandchild, Holly Parfait, great grandchild, Brea' Delaune, brothers, Wilson Verret, Dalton Verret, Edville Verret, Hilton Verret, Michel Verret, sisters, Hilda Verret and Eva Foret.
She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She was a fisherman, trapper and a homemaker.
She enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
