Richard Williams

Richard Gilbert "Dickie" Williams, born on Dec. 16, 1931, died on June 24, 2012.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date for Richard Gilbert "Dickie" Williams, 80, a native and resident of Patterson, who passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at his home.

Dickie was raised on the island of Aruba, where he spent his early years. In 1955 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Having served in the Vietnam War, he made a career in the military and retired from the Air Force with the rank of Captain after 24 years of dedicated service to our country.

Survivors include his sister, Dolores Williams Grissom of Richmond, TX; one niece, NelwynGrissom Powell and her husband Walt of Richmond, TX; one nephew, Gregory Wayne Grissom of Hockley, TX; three great-nephews, Travis Grissom, and Wyatt and Walker Powell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Joseph Williams and Nelwyn Daigle Williams.
