Michael Matthews Sr.
Michael Mathews Sr., 49, a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Pasadena, TX., died Thurs., July 5, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 9 am. until 11 am. Fri., July 13, 2012 at Allen Chapel AME in Thibodaux. The Religious Service will begin at 11 am. Fri. at Allen Chapel with burial in the church.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Alexander Mathews, mother, Eula Mae Mathews, sons Christopher Fletcher, Derrick Alexander, and Michael Mathews Jr., daughters, Raven Goudy, Munika Mitchell, Laura Lee Pollard and Shamira Mathews, brothers Ronald Mathews, Harry Mathews Jr., Hurley Mathews, Lionel Mathews, Charles Mathews, Roberts Mathews, Gary Mathews, and Ulysses Mathews. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry Mathews Sr., daughter Rakeisha Mathews, sisters, Mary Mathews, Audrey Mathews, and Laura Azema, mother in law, Olister Smith and father in law, Allen Alexander Sr., grandparents Hurley and Rebecca Chevis and Lela and William Mathews.
He was Baptist.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
