Joseph Cheramie
Joseph A. Cheramie, 90, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, died on Thurs. July 19, 2012.
A visitation will be held on Mon. July 23, 2012 from 9 am. to Mass time at 11 am. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Golden Meadow. The burial will follow in the Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his son, Tony Cheramie and wife Penny, daughter, Pam Cheramie St. Pierre and husband Rickey, brother, William Cheramie, sisters, Vivian and Norma, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Lorina Cheramie, parents, Paris and Clemence Cheramie, brother, Calvin Cheramie, sisters, Lorina and Mary Lou.
He was a Catholic.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
