Rosie Galmore James, 77, a native of Terrebonne and a resident of Houma, died on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church. Funeral will begin at 1 p.m. at the church. The burial will follow in the Union Benelvolent Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel James; sisters, Carrie L. Brown, Helen, Aline (Curis), and Mollie Galmore; brothers, Harold, Edward, Lionel (Iona) Lewis, Percy (Debra), Lester June Galmore, Rev. Alfred Diggs, Lionel Diggs, and Herman Claude Galmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Galmore and Della Smith Lewis; son, Marvin Gaylord Galmore; brothers, Freddie Galmore, Rickey Galmore, James Lewis, Jr.; sister, Shirley Lewis Williams; and her grandparents, Thomas and Ellen Nash.
She was a Baptist, and a member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church.
