Adeline Nixon

Adeline "Mama Doll" Nixon, 86, a native of Terrebonne and a resident of Houma, died on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012. _

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Residence Baptist Church. Religious services will commence at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in the Southdown Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Michael L. Nixon and wife Jene' Monique; daughters, Maxine Nixon; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Nixon; parents, Arthur, Sr. and Melvina Williams Norman; sons, Charles Norman, and Gerald Nixon, Sr.; daughter, Earline Nixon Smith; brothers, Hurbert Peters, Dennis Norman, and Arthur Norman, Jr.;

sisters, Velma Norman, Ruth Harris, Thelma Debose, and Estelle Norman.

She was a Baptist, and a member of Residents Baptist Church.

Gertrude GEDDES Willis - Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
