Louise Hotard Moore, 90, a native and resident of Houma, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at 4:50 a.m.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Tuesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral . Burial will follow in the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
She is survived by her son, David Ernest Moore and wife Sheila of Houma; daughter, Mary "Bitsy" Moore Champagne and husband Carroll of Houma; sister, Joyce Hotard Marcel of Houma; grandchild, Cory James Champagne; step-grandchildren, Sgt. James Nicholas Wales of the United States Air Force, Tobbie Champagne, and Joey Champagne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Clara Hotard; brothers, Alban Hotard, Alred Hotard,Earny Hotard, Faris Hotard Infant Jean Baptiste Hotard; sisters, Lorena Hotard Brown, Marie Hotard Theriot, and Mildred Hotard Hart Softley.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral .
She was a member of many various organizations. These included AARP, Krewe of Hyacinthians, Regional Military Museum, Terrebonne Historical and Cultural Society, American Legion Auxilury, Cresent City Doubloon Society, and Baton Rouge Stamp Club.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
