Mary Ellen Lirette Vauclin, 66, native of Theriot and resident of Houma, died at 12:01 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012.
Visitation was from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. Funeral time is at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, with burial following in St. Eloi Cemetery in Theriot.
She is survived by daughters, Sandy V. Hughes and her husband, James, Candy V. Billiot and her husband, Craig, Mandy V. LeBlanc and her husband, Scott, Trisha V. Theriot and her husband, Troy, Tressa V. Hebert, and her husband, Michael; grandchildren Jeri Hughes Adams, Sadie Hughes Pellegrin, Jesse, Staci, Jenna and James Dillon Hughes, Nicolette and Bryce Billiot, Elizabeth, and Alayna LeBlanc, Kirsty Richard, Blaine, Ashley and Leeann Theriot, and Julienne and Emily Hebert, great-grandchildren, Logan, Camryn and Carsen Adams, Hannah Hughes, Jaxon Cannon and Gavin Pellegrin; brothers, Nolan Lirette, Ronnie Lirette and his wife Wendy, and Barry Lirette and his wife, Relta; sisters, Mazel L. Guidry and her husband, Norris, and Ann L. Adams and her husband, Doug; godchildren Janice Shaw, Monica Henry, John Lirette and Matthew Adams; faithful friend Joann Gianelloni and her husband, V.J., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Hilda Mary Liner Lirette; a brother, Andrew Lirette; a sister, Hazel L. Guidry and her husband Leroy, and Laura L. Boudreaux; a godson, Danny Guidry; a niece, Dana Lirette, nephews, Ricky and Kevin Boudreaux; a sister-in-law, Lois B. Lirette; and a great niece, Jessica Lirette.
She worked 15 years at the Louis Infant Crisis Center. She was a loving mother, sister and friend.
Special thanks to the Rev. Ty Van Nguyen, Dr. Gregory Maidoh, Dr. William Ladd and her all of her caregivers whom she loved so much.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Ann Catholic Church building fund are preferred.
