Theirn Joseph Scott Sr., 86, a native and resident of Houma, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Theirn Scott Jr. and wife, Jan; daughters, Karen Scott Rhodes and husband Mark, Donna Scott Hebert, Sandra Saucier and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Theirn J. Scott III, Scott P. Rhodes and wife, Anne, John D. Rhodes, Andrea S. Dupre and husband, Caleb, Brad Fairish; Great grandchild, Preston Mark Gregory Rhodes; and one sister, Yvonne S. Tollison.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Cunningham Scott; his parents, Anrold Scott and Verna Louivere Scott; one sister, Mardery Mae Labit and Lorraine Scott.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He was a district manager for Houston Engineers Inc. and manager of Wilson Industries.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a seaman first class.
Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
