Joseph Wilfred Triche Sr., 78, a native of Lockport and a resident of Dularge and Houma, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012.
A memorial Mass will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Guidry Triche; two daughters, Penny Triche Lawson and Jo Ann Triche; one son, Joseph Wilfred Triche Jr.; two grandsons, Shawn Joseph Lawson and Dustin Thomas Lawson; two sons-in-law, Jason Lawson and Kirby Solet; five sisters, Dorothy, Carol, Rita Mae, Betty and Dianne; and three brothers, Donald, Armond Paul and Gerald.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Triche and Elvenzel Guidry Triche; and five brothers, Edwin "E.J.", Raymond "Boudow", Bob, Lynn and Richard.
He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was a jack of all trades and offered help to anyone in need.
He proudly served as a private first class in the U.S. Army from 1956 until 1958.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot.
