Ruby Louis Autin, 98, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Memphis, Tenn., passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters, Drusilla Schifani, of Memphis, Tenn., Pamela Fossier, of Lafayette, Audrey Henkel, of Athens, Ga., and Loretta Register, of Biloxi, Miss.; 26 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grand children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Legendre Autin; daughter, Deanie Coman; son, Dr. David L. Autin; and two grandchildren, Michele Fossier and Eraste Autin.
He was a successful insurance business professional in Lafourche Parish, initially representing First National Life Insurance Co. and Common Wealth Insurance Co. He belonged to the Lafourche Council No. 1114 Knights of Columbus. He was also active in the Sierra Club of Thibodaux.
